About this tool
A watermark is the fastest way to mark a document as draft, confidential or belonging to a client. The text is drawn diagonally across every page with an opacity you control, so the document stays readable.
Use uppercase words for the classic look — CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT, SAMPLE — or a client name for review copies. The watermark is baked into the page content, not added as a layer that can be switched off.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use accented or non-Latin characters?
The built-in font covers Latin characters; other characters are replaced. For Chinese, Arabic or Cyrillic text, add a custom font to the worker.
Is the watermark easy to remove?
It is drawn into the page content stream, so removing it means editing the PDF. It deters casual copying, it is not DRM.
Can I watermark only some pages?
Not in this tool — every page is stamped.
