Open the free tool, follow the steps and download your result. No sign-up required.
Before you start
- One PDF within the 25 MB free-plan limit.
- The watermark text you want; keep it short and meaningful.
- An opacity and font size that suit the document; the default is a subtle mark.
Step by step
- Upload the PDF you want to stamp.
- Type the watermark text and choose opacity and font size.
- Download the watermarked PDF.
Common mistakes
- Using text at a very low opacity or a tiny size, which may be almost invisible in print.
- Using non-Latin characters without checking that the server has a suitable font installed.
After you download
Download the watermarked PDF and inspect a light and a dark page. Confirm that the mark is readable and does not cover important content.
Questions and answers
Can I use accented or non-Latin characters?
The built-in font covers Latin characters; other characters are replaced. For Chinese, Arabic or Cyrillic text, add a custom font to the worker.
Is the watermark easy to remove?
It is drawn into the page content stream, so removing it means editing the PDF. It deters casual copying, it is not DRM.
Can I watermark only some pages?
Not in this tool — every page is stamped.
