Who we are
PDFMint is a browser-based document utility operated from this website. This policy explains what we process when you use the service.
Files and document data
When you choose files, we process the file contents and basic metadata such as file name, size and format only to complete the task you requested. We do not inspect document contents for advertising, and we do not use your files to train models.
Anonymous usage events
We record limited first-party events such as page views, tool starts, task completion, pricing views and checkout starts. These records do not contain document contents, file names, account email addresses or raw IP addresses. A salted hash of the IP address is used briefly for abuse prevention and aggregate visitor counts.
Retention
Uploaded and generated files are deleted automatically within 2 hours. Anonymous usage event logs are kept for up to 90 days, then deleted. Account and billing records are kept while the account is active and as required for tax, fraud prevention and legal obligations.
Cookies and authentication
We use a strictly necessary HttpOnly session cookie when you sign in. We do not use advertising cookies by default. Google sign-in is provided through Firebase Authentication.
Service providers
We use Alibaba Cloud for hosting, Firebase / Google for authentication, and Paddle for payment processing and subscription management. Paddle acts as the merchant of record for paid subscriptions. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data. You can send a privacy request through the Feedback button on any page and choose “Other”; include “Privacy request” in the message. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Security and international transfers
Files are transferred over HTTPS and processed in isolated working directories. Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. We use contractual and provider-level safeguards where required.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required by local law. Do not use it to upload personal data about a child without the necessary authority.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The current version is always available on this page, and material changes will be reflected here.
